Updates - Extreme Charts

Updating your charts and the information contained within them is simple with Extreme Charts. The information can be updated as often as desired with the press of a button. The update button is found at the top of the tool bar and is symbolized by a telephone icon. The update can also be conducted by selecting the "Update Data" from the pull-down menu or by pressing the Control U keys.

The End-of-Day update can be conducted after 8 p.m. EST when the complete information for the current trading day's activities becomes available. In just a couple of minutes the charts and all information from the day's trading is imported into the program and available to be seen.

Information for the current session is available by clicking the Current Session Daily Bars option. This provides the open price, high price, low price and last price for the current session for all symbols. A quick update usually takes less than a minute and can be done as often as needed. It is also possible to update and recalculate the criteria and filters based on the current session, although that choice takes a little longer.

And update for the Quote Board can also be requested from this location. The Quote Board also has an option that allows the user to specify how often it should be automatically updated throughout the day. This makes it simple to see how a trader's stocks are faring throughout the session.
